Start by sharing your interest in working together on our Get Started page. If working together is a fit, we will follow up with next steps to schedule a free Discovery Call. During that call, we learn about your goals and share about RM services in depth, including a demo of a financial plan. After the call we will share a proposal for working together. Clients then sign an agreement and we begin building your financial plan.

Access: We have fee minimums, but do not have wealth management minimums. This allows us to work with a wider range of clients, including those with significant assets in 401(k), employer stock, or privately held businesses.
Deep Financial Planning: Our wealth management is informed by financial planning that analyzes your unique financial advantages, personal financial goals, cash flow, and tax situation. Our aim is to provide value across your entire net worth and income statement. This is more work than just focusing on investing. However, we trust that the work will pay off in better client outcomes, and by extension, success for our business.Transparency & Alignment: As fee-only advisors, we are only paid by clients, taking a fiduciary pledge to put their interests first. We never sell products or receive commissions. This is a massive differentiator in an industry known to historically have commission-based compensation and conflicts of interest for advisors.
Attention: Every advisor has a capped client count to ensure clients get the attention they deserve.
Technology-led: Leading technology improves your experience, reduces costs, and saves trees!

After signing up to work with Redwood Money, our initial financial planning engagement is typically 4-5 meetings.
Information Gathering: We organize and digitize your financial details in your online portal.
Plan Delivery: We deliver an initial financial plan, focusing on high impact areas to accelerate progress towards your goals.
Investments: We meet to open investment accounts and align your wealth management with your financial plan.
Implementation: We connect to review and implement additional action items, like adjustments to your accounts, employee benefits, insurance, and estate planning.
Once we’ve delivered and implemented your financial plan, we move into ongoing planning to support your financial life.
Review meetings: We typically meet 2-3x per year to review your financial plan, align your plan with your goals, and discuss strategy.
Ad hoc planning: We want to be the first point of contact for money. If there’s a job transition, major purchase, or other planning opportunity clients can reach out to their advisor any time via text or email for guidance. -
We are proud to have over a 95% client retention rate, and have built our business on the referrals of happy clients.
However, we know that financial circumstances and needs change, and not every client will be a perfect fit.
Because of that, there is no long-term commitment. Clients can cancel financial planning or wealth management any time.
You should work with your financial advisor because they add value with timely input, consistent execution, and diligence, not because you’re stuck based on a product or legacy relationship.
